Aldgate Advisors
Washington, D.C.
This page explains how we handle personally identifiable information (PII) collected through this website and through inquiry email. PII is information that can identify, contact, or locate a person, or identify someone in context.
This page covers the website only. Client work is confidential under each engagement. We do not publish a client list or maintain a press room. We do not use client matters for marketing.
What this site is
This is a single notice site for a private advisory firm. It is not a blog, an app, a store, or an open registration portal.
What we collect
We do not ask visitors to create an account, subscribe to a newsletter, or place an order.
If you write to the inquiry address, we receive what you send: your email address and any name, phone number, introduction, or message you include. We use that only to assess whether a conversation is appropriate and to reply.
Our hosting provider may record ordinary server logs (such as IP address, browser type, date and time, and the page requested) to operate and secure the site. We do not use those logs to build marketing profiles or to advertise to you.
We do not ask for credit card numbers on this site. We do not process payments here.
When we collect it
Only if you email us, or automatically as server logs when the page is requested.
How we use it
We do not use website or inquiry information to send marketing emails, newsletters, or product offers. An unsolicited message does not create an advisory relationship.
How we protect it
The site is served over HTTPS (SSL). Inquiry mail is available only to people at the firm who need it to respond. We do not store payment card data. Do not send privileged or highly sensitive matter to the public inquiry address unless we have asked you to.
Cookies
We do not use cookies for a shopping cart, advertising, or a marketing newsletter.
The host may set a strictly necessary cookie to deliver or secure the page. We do not use advertising cookies, remarketing pixels, or social tracking plugins on this site.
You can block cookies in your browser. This site does not depend on optional cookies to be readable.
Third parties
We do not sell, trade, or rent PII.
Hosting and email vendors process data for us so the site and inbox work. They are not authorized to use that information for their own marketing.
This site does not offer third-party products and does not contain advertising networks.
Statistics
We do not publish visitor behavior in a form that identifies you. We do not provide your PII to others for their advertising.
Do Not Track
We do not use third-party behavioral advertising on this site. We do not change the page in response to a DNT signal because we are not running ad tracking for DNT to turn off.
California visitors
You may use this site without creating an account. A link labeled “Privacy” appears in the site footer. We will post changes on this page. To ask what inquiry information we hold from your email, or to ask that we delete a message you sent, write to the inquiry address with the subject “Privacy.”
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect PII from children. We do not use the site to market to children.
Email
We use email to answer inquiries you initiate. We do not operate a marketing list on the back of this website. If you write to us and later want that thread closed, say so in a reply and we will stop using that thread for follow-up.
Client files
If we open an engagement, retention and confidentiality of that file follow the engagement terms, not this page.
Changes
Revisions will appear on this page. The date below is the current version.
